Mukesh H. Oberoi
Master of thatching, now teaching apprentices
- 🇬🇧 Bristol, England, United Kingdom
- Bristol Repairs
- Since 1989
- English, Hindi
I've worked in thatching since 1989. I learned from my uncle and passed what I could on to 1,260 apprentices.
I can still tell good work from rushed work from across the street. I'm always reading two books at once.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Mukesh
Some of my old apprentices now run their own shops. I couldn't be prouder.
Crafts and trades
What gifts mean to Mukesh: A gift would go toward tools for apprentices who can't afford their own.
