Mukasa Kimani Mwangi
Self-taught woodcarving artist
- 🇰🇪 Machakos, Machakos, Kenya
- Mount Pleasant Studio
- Since 2004
- English
I work mostly in woodcarving, sometimes watercolor. My first show was in 2004 at Mount Pleasant Studio, and nobody came except my family and one confused dog.
Most of my work is inspired by the changing seasons. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.
More about Mukasa
If you've bought a piece of mine, thank you. It's on someone's wall and that still amazes me.
What gifts mean to Mukasa: I'd put a gift toward a kiln repair. It's been a long time coming.
