I taught history at San Cristóbal de las Casas Public School in San Cristóbal de las Casas from 1987 to 2005. Most days I taught primary school children, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
Over the years I had 880 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
