Ms. Zakari
30 years teaching physical education in Kano
- 🇳🇬 Kano, Kano, Nigeria
- Kano Secondary School
- 1985 to 2009
- English, Hausa
Kano Secondary School was my second home. I taught physical education there from 1985 to 2009, mostly teenagers.
I coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Ms. Zakari
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Zakari: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

Thank you for never giving up on the kid at the back who didn't say much! Greetings from Auckland.
