For 40 years I have been the environmental science teacher at Bahir Dar Primary School. I teach first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Over the years I've had 1,560 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Yilma
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Yilma: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
