Ms. Yavuz
27 years teaching home economics in Ankara
- 🇹🇷 Ankara, Ankara, Türkiye
- Rosewood Boys' School
- 2013 to 2023
- English, Turkish
I taught home economics at Rosewood Boys' School in Ankara from 2013 to 2023. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Ms. Yavuz
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Yavuz: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.

you taught me home economics in 2018 at Rosewood Boys' School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
