Ms. Whitfield
25 years teaching French in Newcastle
- 🇦🇺 Newcastle, New South Wales, Australia
- Newcastle Academy
- 1989 to 2013
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as an accountant, and 24 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Ms. Whitfield
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Ms. Whitfield: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
