Ms. Wekesa
31 years teaching history in Kakamega
- 🇰🇪 Kakamega, Kakamega, Kenya
- Lakeview Academy
- 1980 to 2010
- English
I came to teaching late, after working as a postal worker, and 30 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I paint watercolors of whatever is outside the window. Inside it, I played music while people worked.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Ms. Wekesa
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Wekesa: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
