Ms. Walia
23 years teaching economics in Kolkata
- 🇮🇳 Kolkata, West Bengal, India
- Kolkata Grammar School
- Since 2010
- English, Hindi
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 16 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

If you were in my Grade 11 class, you probably remember the time the class pet escaped.

What gifts mean to Ms. Walia: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
