I teach French at Tacoma Girls' School in Tacoma since 1987. Most days I teach Grade 8, and I never raise my voice.
Over the years I've had 1,720 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Velasco
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Ms. Velasco: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

you taught me French in 1989 at Tacoma Girls' School. I still remember the long bus ride home.
