Ms. Velasco
15 years teaching art in Los Angeles
- 🇺🇸 Los Angeles, California, United States
- Meadowbank Primary School
- 1997 to 2025
- English
I taught art at Meadowbank Primary School in Los Angeles from 1997 to 2025. Most days I taught Year 9, and my door was open at lunch.
Over the years I had 1,570 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Velasco
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Ms. Velasco: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.

You taught me art in 2000 at Meadowbank Primary School. I still remember the volcano experiment that got a bit out of hand.
