I taught computer science at Oakland Middle School in Oakland from 2000 to 2020. Most days I taught Year 9, and I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Ms. Vaughn
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
