Ms. Van der Merwe

Economics and computer science teacher, Soweto

  • 🇿🇦 Soweto, Gauteng, South Africa
  • Since 1980
  • English
For 46 years I have been the economics teacher at Soweto Public School. I teach first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help. I've coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

More about Ms. Van der Merwe

If you were in my first-year students class, you probably remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam.
