Ms. Van der Merwe

Teacher at Pretoria High School, loves art

🇿🇦 Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa
Pretoria High School
1998 to 2014
English, Afrikaans

I came to teaching late, after working as an accountant, and 16 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. I coached the school's netball team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.

More about Ms. Van der Merwe

The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

Subjects taught

Art Environmental science

What gifts mean to Ms. Van der Merwe: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me art in 2005 at Pretoria High School. I still remember the cold winter when we all kept our coats on.
