I taught physics and art at Baobab Boys' School, San Francisco. I never once raised my voice.
Over the years I had 370 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I'm still learning every day.
More about Ms. Valdez
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
