Ms. Ueno

38 years teaching early years in Setagaya

  • 🇯🇵 Setagaya, Tokyo, Japan
  • Setagaya Primary School
  • Since 2013
  • Japanese
I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 13 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. I've coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again. I'm still learning every day.

More about Ms. Ueno

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Ueno: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
