Ms. Ueda
24 years teaching drama in Shinjuku
- 🇯🇵 Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan
- Shinjuku Middle School
- Since 2010
- Japanese, English
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 16 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 350 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Ueda
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the national park, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Ms. Ueda: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
