Ms. Uba
Retired French teacher from Bonny High School
- 🇳🇬 Bonny, Rivers, Nigeria
- Bonny High School
- 1980 to 1992
- English, Yoruba
I came to teaching late, after working as a bank clerk, and twelve years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I ran the school newspaper after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Ms. Uba
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Ms. Uba: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
