I teach music at Sakura Primary School in Dar es Salaam since 2006. Most days I teach the youngest children, and I stay late on Thursdays for anyone who needs it.
I've coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Ms. Tumusiime
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
What gifts mean to Ms. Tumusiime: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
