I taught mathematics at Birmingham Public School in Birmingham from 1999 to 2021. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
I ran the debate team after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
