I teach early years at Los Angeles Grammar School in Los Angeles since 1982. Most days I teach Grade 8, and I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ms. Torres
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the science museum, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Torres: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
