I taught computer science and chemistry at The Hague Grammar School, The Hague. I learned every name in the first week.
Over the years I had 1,500 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Ms. Timmermans: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
