For 31 years I have been the music teacher at Jakarta Barat High School. I teach teenagers and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I watch every football match going. Inside it, I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I'm still learning every day.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Tanoto: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

You taught me music in 2008 at Jakarta Barat High School. I still remember the day the fire alarm went off during the exam. Greetings from Patna.
