I taught agriculture at Bamboo Technical College in Nairobi from 1995 to 2021. Most days I taught mixed-ability classes, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I ran the robotics club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I walk the dog by the river.
More about Ms. Swai
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Swai: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
