For 14 years I was the design and technology teacher at Osaka Grammar School. I taught teenagers and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I ran the science fair after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Ms. Sugiyama: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
