I teach English literature at Kansas City Public School in Kansas City since 1992. Most days I teach Year 9, and I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I've had 1,430 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
