I teach home economics at Maple Ridge Boys' School in Newcastle since 2007. Most days I teach the final-year class, and I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Outside the classroom I garden badly but happily. Inside it, I always have a bag of oranges in my drawer.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ms. Singh
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the capital, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Singh: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
