I came to teaching late, after working as a clerk, and nine years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've run the reading group after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I fix old bicycles.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Ms. Simmons
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Simmons: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
