I teach home economics at Silverlake Technical College in Gulu since 1996. Most days I teach the final-year class, and I play music while people worked.
Over the years I've had 750 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Simiyu
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Simiyu: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
