I teach computer science and physical education at Maple Ridge Girls' School, Edmonton. I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Over the years I've had 1,960 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Shukla
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Shukla: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
