I taught drama at Bakersfield Grammar School in Bakersfield from 1998 to 2008. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
Outside the classroom I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays. Inside it, I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
