I taught special education at Fairview Secondary School in Karachi from 1980 to 2004. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the coast, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
