Ms. Shayo
Early years and physics teacher, Thika
- 🇰🇪 Thika, Kiambu, Kenya
- Starlight High School
- Since 2006
- English
I teach early years at Starlight High School in Thika since 2006. Most days I teach mixed-ability classes, and I keep a jar of spare pencils on my desk.
I've coached the school's athletics team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
Hearing from old faces is the best part of my week.
More about Ms. Shayo
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.
