Ms. Shayo
Computer science and history teacher, Mombasa
- 🇰🇪 Mombasa, Mombasa, Kenya
- Northside Technical College
- Since 2013
- English, Swahili
I came to teaching late, after working as a night-shift cleaner, and 13 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
I've coached the school's cross-country squad for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I'm proud of everyone I got to work with.
More about Ms. Shayo
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

I was in your Year 10 class in 2021. You believed I could do it before I did. Greetings from Varanasi.
