Ms. Shaw
Social studies and special education teacher, Ottawa
- 🇨🇦 Ottawa, Ontario, Canada
- Meadowbank Academy
- Since 1989
- English, Spanish
I came to teaching late, after working as a nurse, and 37 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I've had 1,300 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.

What gifts mean to Ms. Shaw: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
