Ms. Setiawan
Religious studies and English literature teacher, Surakarta
- 🇮🇩 Surakarta, Central Java, Indonesia
- Baobab Secondary School
- Since 1988
- English, Indonesian, Spanish
For 38 years I have been the religious studies teacher at Baobab Secondary School. I teach the youngest children and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I sing in a choir. Inside it, I learn every name in the first week.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

What gifts mean to Ms. Setiawan: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
