I taught religious studies and mathematics at Hillcrest Boys' School, San Jose. I kept a jar of spare pencils on my desk. My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits. It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
