For 22 years I was the accounting teacher at Houston High School. I taught Grade 11 and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
More about Ms. Santiago
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Santiago: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
