I taught early years at Atlas Public School in Shreveport from 1989 to 2006. Most days I taught Year 7, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
I ran the school newspaper after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I bake for the whole street at New Year.
More about Ms. Sandoval
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the old fort, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.

What gifts mean to Ms. Sandoval: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
