I taught agriculture at Manila Academy in Manila from 1983 to 2008. Most days I taught first-year students, and I always had a bag of oranges in my drawer.
Over the years I had 1,050 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.
