For 17 years I was the economics teacher at Envigado Academy. I taught first-year students and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
Outside the classroom I bake for the whole street at New Year. Inside it, I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
More about Ms. Salazar
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Salazar: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.
