Ms. Sakai

20 years teaching music in Shinjuku

  • 🇯🇵 Shinjuku, Tokyo, Japan
  • St. Joseph's Girls' School
  • 2013 to 2021
  • Japanese
St. Joseph's Girls' School was my second home. I taught music there from 2013 to 2021, mostly Year 10. Over the years I had 440 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile. I never expected anything in return, but a kind word always makes my day.

More about Ms. Sakai

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
