Ms. Rathnayake
Agriculture and early years teacher, Colombo
- 🇱🇰 Colombo, Western, Sri Lanka
- 1999 to 2021
- English, Sinhala
I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 22 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Over the years I had 1,210 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
If you remember me, I'd love to hear from you.

You taught me agriculture in 2010 at Harmony Middle School. I still remember the surprise birthday cake. Thank you again.

I'm a mechanic now and I honestly think it started in your classroom! Greetings from Gazipur.
