I taught home economics at Nairobi Middle School in Nairobi from 1989 to 2013. Most days I taught the final-year class, and I learned every name in the first week.
I ran the running club after school and some of my proudest moments happened there. I volunteer at the food bank on Saturdays.

What gifts mean to Ms. Rashidi: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
