I taught design and technology at Meadowbank Technical College in Los Angeles from 1983 to 2020. Most days I taught Grade 11, and I wrote a short note to every student at the end of term.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
More about Ms. Ramírez
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Ramírez: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
