I teach art at Beacon Technical College in Los Angeles since 1991. Most days I teach primary school children, and I never turn anyone away.
Over the years I've had 1,890 students pass through my room. A few of them became teachers themselves, which still makes me smile.
More about Ms. Ramírez
Teaching changed me more than I changed anyone, I think.
What gifts mean to Ms. Ramírez: Honestly the messages mean more, but a gift would help me buy supplies for my new classroom.
