I came to teaching late, after working as a waiter, and 42 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
My classroom was always a bit noisy, a bit untidy and usually full of people who came for the biscuits.
It has been a good run and I'm grateful for all of it.
More about Ms. Purnomo
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the planetarium, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
What gifts mean to Ms. Purnomo: If you do send something, I'll put it toward a small scholarship for a student who needs it.
