I came to teaching late, after working as a bus driver, and 19 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else.
Outside the classroom I sing in a choir. Inside it, I stayed late on Thursdays for anyone who needed it.
More about Ms. Pruitt
The students I remember best weren't always the top of the class. They were the ones who asked "why?" when nobody else did.

What gifts mean to Ms. Pruitt: A gift would go toward books and supplies for the students I still tutor.

you taught me home economics in 1994 at Holy Cross Grammar School. I still remember that terrible school play.
