Ms. Powell

Chemistry teacher at Leicester Academy, 2000 to 2016

I came to teaching late, after working as a shop assistant, and 16 years later I still can't imagine doing anything else. Outside the classroom I fix old bicycles. Inside it, I played music while people worked. I'm still learning every day.

More about Ms. Powell

Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the mountains, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
