For 47 years I have been the chemistry teacher at Eastgate Middle School. I teach teenagers and a few brave older students who wanted extra help.
I've coached the school's quiz team for a few seasons. We lost more than we won, and I'd do it all again.
More about Ms. Polyakov
Some of my favorite memories are from the school trip to the farm, where nothing went to plan and everything turned out fine.
